Location: South of Ireland (field-based with base in Cork)

About the Role


A leading medical and surgical distribution organisation is seeking an Orthopaedic Clinical Support Specialist to support and develop a joints portfolio across the South of Ireland.

This field-based role focuses on providing high quality clinical and technical support within theatre environments. You will work closely with surgeons key decision makers and multidisciplinary theatre teams to support procedures deliver education and contribute to territory growth in collaboration with the Territory Sales Manager.


The primary territory covers the South of Ireland with flexibility required to travel nationally as needed.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and technical support for orthopaedic joint procedures within theatre environments

  • Attend and support relevant theatre cases ensuring safe and effective product usage

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with surgeons theatre teams and key decision makers

  • Deliver product education and ongoing training to clinical users

  • Manage consignment stock implants instruments and related administrative requirements

  • Maintain up to date specialist technical knowledge in line with product developments and clinical needs

  • Support business strategy development alongside the Territory Sales Manager

  • Monitor competitor activity and key market developments

  • Maintain certification and continued professional development requirements

  • Plan and organise daily activity to meet customer and team requirements



Candidate Profile

  • Clinical qualification with relevant experience ideally within hip or knee implant environments

  • Strong interest in working within a clinical support and theatre based role

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship building skills

  • Comfortable working in fast paced theatre environments

  • Detail oriented with strong follow through and organisational skills

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a wider team

  • Commercial awareness and interest in developing sales capability advantageous

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Full clean driving licence with willingness to travel
