About the Role

​

Grey Wave Recruitment is seeking an Orthopaedic Clinical Support Specialist for a leading medical and surgical solutions provider with a strong presence across orthopaedics and joint reconstruction. This field based role supports orthopaedic surgeons and theatre teams across the West of Ireland by delivering expert clinical case support product education and high quality technical guidance.

You will attend theatre cases support multi disciplinary clinical environments and work closely with key decision makers to ensure best practice in product use and patient outcomes. The role requires strong clinical knowledge excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a wider orthopaedic team while supporting commercial growth and customer engagement across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and technical support across orthopaedic joint procedures with regular theatre attendance

• Work closely with surgeons KDMs and theatre staff to ensure safe and effective product use

• Support the development and execution of business strategies in conjunction with the wider orthopaedic team

• Deliver product education and training to clinical teams as required

• Manage administrative responsibilities such as consignment stock replenishment purchase orders and instrument coordination

• Maintain up to date specialist knowledge across assigned orthopaedic products procedures and market developments

• Ensure required certifications and professional development standards are consistently met

• Monitor competitor activity and maintain awareness of key market trends

• Provide first class customer service in line with clinical and commercial expectations

• Support solutions based selling by understanding clinical needs and recommending appropriate products

• Build strong relationships with key clinical stakeholders and trusted contacts within hospitals and orthopaedic centres

• Share insights and provide collaborative support to colleagues across the wider orthopaedic business

• Identify opportunities to support business development new product uptake and strategic account growth

• Contribute to tender processes and support commercial activities when required

• Plan organise and prioritise daily field activity to meet clinical and customer requirements

Candidate Profile

• Clinical qualification with relevant experience ideally within hip and knee orthopaedics

• Strong interest in clinical support with willingness to work in theatre settings

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with high attention to detail

• Ability to integrate quickly and work collaboratively as part of a clinical and commercial team

• Analytical mindset with strong problem solving skills

• Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple priorities

• Desire to work in a role that blends clinical expertise with commercial awareness

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Full clean driving licence
