About the Role

Grey Wave Recruitment is seeking a Senior Product Specialist / Business Development Manager for a medical device organisation supplying advanced surgical technologies and devices across a broad range of hospital theatre and surgical disciplines. This field-based role will cover the Dublin and Leinster area and will focus on building business growth through product education commercial development and high quality service delivery in surgical theatre and peri-operative environments.


You will collaborate closely with surgeons theatre staff hospital procurement clinical teams and senior management to develop and execute commercial strategy identify growth opportunities and support product launches and portfolio expansion. Strong surgical knowledge excellent communication ability and a strategic mindset are required to succeed in this role.


Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory business plans and sales strategies for surgical products within the assigned region

• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships including surgeons theatre teams hospital management and procurement

• Provide product education demonstrations and training to clinical and surgical teams

• Identify new business opportunities across surgical theatre and hospital accounts and drive growth in line with commercial goals

• Collaborate with internal marketing clinical service and sales teams to support product launches and promotional activities

• Monitor competitor activity market trends and customer feedback to shape strategy and improve market position

• Produce and manage accurate account plans forecasting and CRM entries

• Lead contract negotiations tenders pricing discussions and value-based proposals where required

• Travel regularly across the territory to meet customers attend case support and business meetings

• Support after-sales service and customer satisfaction initiatives and act as a key contact for technical query resolution

• Work with training programmes and key opinion leader networks to raise brand and product visibility


Candidate Profile

• Minimum of three to five years’ experience in medical device sales or business development within surgical or theatre-based technology

• Strong understanding of surgical procedures theatre workflows and hospital purchasing processes

• Excellent interpersonal communication presentation and negotiation skills with ability to work at consultant level

• Proven track record of achieving business development targets in a field-based environment

• Strategic thinking commercial acumen and a proactive self-motivated attitude

• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel within region

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
