About the Role

Grey Wave Recruitment is seeking a Clinical Support Specialist to join a high-performing orthopaedic team supporting joint reconstruction solutions across the hospital sector. This role combines clinical expertise with customer support and technical product knowledge, working closely with surgeons, theatre teams and hospital stakeholders.

The successful candidate will provide in-theatre support, technical guidance and product expertise across orthopaedic procedures while helping to maintain and develop strong relationships with key decision makers. Working alongside the Territory Sales Manager and wider orthopaedic team, you will support the continued development of the business while delivering exceptional clinical service and product support.

Key Responsibilities

​

• Provide in-theatre clinical support during orthopaedic procedures including hip and knee implant surgeries
• Deliver technical guidance and product expertise to surgeons and theatre staff
• Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, theatre teams and hospital stakeholders
• Support the Territory Sales Manager in delivering account development strategies
• Assist with the promotion and education of orthopaedic solutions within hospital environments
• Manage consignment stock, instrument logistics and product availability within accounts
• Maintain accurate administrative processes including purchase orders and stock management
• Develop and maintain specialist technical knowledge across orthopaedic implant systems and technologies
• Support the adoption of digital, navigation and robotic enabling technologies where applicable
• Monitor competitor activity and maintain awareness of market developments
• Contribute to the development of business opportunities within existing accounts
• Collaborate with colleagues across the wider sales and clinical support team

Candidate Profile

​

• Clinical qualification essential with relevant experience ideally within orthopaedics
• Experience supporting hip or knee implant procedures highly desirable
• Comfortable working in an operating theatre environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with clinicians
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capability
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a clinical sales environment
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
