Surgical Sales Executive - Orthopaedic Implants & Power Tools

About the Role
Grey Wave Recruitment is seeking a Surgical Sales Executive to support the promotion and development of orthopaedic implant and surgical power tool solutions across the hospital sector in the Munster region. This role combines clinical engagement, technical product expertise and commercial business development within both public and private hospital environments.
Working closely with surgeons, theatre teams and hospital stakeholders, the successful candidate will help develop strong customer partnerships while driving growth across a portfolio of orthopaedic surgical technologies. The role requires the ability to deliver technical support, provide clinical training and identify opportunities to enhance surgical service models across healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
• Promote and develop a portfolio of orthopaedic implant and surgical power tool solutions across the Munster territory
• Build and maintain strong relationships with orthopaedic surgeons, theatre teams and hospital decision makers
• Identify new business opportunities within existing and potential hospital accounts
• Deliver product demonstrations, presentations and clinical education sessions to healthcare professionals
• Provide in-theatre and technical support where required to ensure effective product usage
• Manage and develop key hospital accounts across both public and private healthcare environments
• Support hospital capital projects and service development initiatives within orthopaedic departments
• Maintain strong knowledge of surgical technologies, clinical practices and product applications
• Monitor competitor activity and provide feedback on market trends and opportunities
• Attend relevant conferences, exhibitions and clinical education events as required
• Maintain accurate territory planning, reporting and account management documentation
Candidate Profile
• Previous commercial experience within the healthcare or medical device sector desirable
• Experience supporting surgical or orthopaedic environments advantageous
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively with clinicians and hospital stakeholders
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Highly motivated with strong commercial awareness and business development capability
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
• Full clean driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland
