About the Role
Grey Wave Recruitment is seeking a Quality & Compliance Manager to oversee and maintain a robust Quality Management System within a regulated healthcare environment. This role will focus on ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory standards and ethical codes while promoting a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organisation.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure quality systems are efficient, compliant and well understood throughout the business. This position will play a key role in maintaining regulatory standards, managing audit processes and supporting operational excellence within a highly regulated pharmaceutical and healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development and maintenance of the organisation’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure regulatory compliance
• Ensure adherence to relevant legislation, cGxP standards and ethical code requirements
• Promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement across the organisation
• Lead quality management review meetings and report on QMS performance and improvement initiatives
• Support the implementation of risk-based quality management principles across operational processes
• Manage deviation tracking, CAPA processes and change control systems
• Coordinate internal and external audits and act as internal auditor where required
• Oversee supplier qualification processes and ensure technical agreements are reflected in internal procedures
• Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements
• Support regulatory responsibilities associated with Wholesale Distribution Authorisation (WDA)
• Assist with regulatory and compliance oversight relating to medical device regulations where applicable
• Collaborate with pharmacovigilance teams to ensure alignment of safety processes within the QMS framework
• Develop and deliver training programmes relating to quality systems, compliance and regulatory standards
• Maintain documentation and workflows to ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness
Candidate Profile
• Degree in life sciences or a related discipline
• Previous experience in a quality or compliance role within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks including GDP and cGxP principles
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a regulated environment
• Experience supporting audit processes and regulatory inspections desirable
• Strong IT and documentation management skills
