About the Role

Grey Wave Recruitment is seeking a Financial Accountant for a leading healthcare organisation. This role is offered on a 14-month fixed term contract to provide maternity leave cover within a busy and dynamic finance team. The position offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant to gain valuable experience within a healthcare environment while contributing to financial reporting planning and operational finance activities.

You will support the preparation of management accounts financial reporting and budgeting processes while working closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors. The role requires strong technical accounting skills attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

​

• Prepare monthly management accounts and provide analysis of financial performance
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes across the organisation
• Manage external reporting requirements including banking VAT and statutory submissions
• Monitor working capital and support management of operating cash flows
• Assist with group consolidation activities balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of the fixed assets register
• Liaise with internal and external auditors as well as tax advisors when required
• Support banking processes and covenant compliance reporting
• Provide financial insights and reporting to support operational decision making
• Assist with ad hoc finance projects and other duties as required

Candidate Profile

​

• Qualified accountant or part qualified accountant with relevant experience
• Minimum three years experience in a similar financial accounting role
• Experience preparing monthly management accounts is essential
• Experience within the healthcare sector would be advantageous
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical ability
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills with ability to liaise with internal stakeholders
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
• Strong IT skills including financial systems and Microsoft Office applications
