About the Role

​

Grey Wave Recruitment is seeking a Chemical Synthesis Product Specialist for a leading provider of advanced chemical synthesis instrumentation reaction systems parallel chemistry platforms particle characterisation technologies and associated analytical equipment. This is a field based technical sales role focused on developing long term customer relationships supporting product demonstrations and driving commercial growth across pharmaceutical academic industrial and research environments.

You will work closely with customers to understand their workflows provide consultative technical guidance and support a full sales cycle from initial engagement through demonstration installation and follow up. The position requires a proactive approach to business development strong technical understanding and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal commercial and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

​

• Achieve annual sales targets across existing business and new growth opportunities

• Identify develop and close new opportunities through structured prospecting and consistent activity

• Provide accurate weekly monthly and quarterly forecasting through CRM systems

• Promote and sell advanced parallel chemistry and reaction systems to pharmaceutical and academic research environments

• Promote and sell particle characterisation technologies across pharmaceutical industrial food & beverage and academic sectors

• Manage and progress leads through the complete sales process including CRM management phone outreach email follow up and onsite meetings

• Deliver product demonstrations customer training and ongoing technical support

• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships across key accounts

• Support commercial sales and marketing activities in line with company strategy

• Maintain CRM entries to a high standard

• Complete required technical and product training to maintain strong market knowledge

• Follow internal procedures and policies at all times

Candidate Profile

​

• Proven track record in new lead generation and achieving sales targets

• Business development experience with strong communication and customer engagement skills

• Customer facing experience with a professional and solutions focused approach

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced SME environment with a hands on mentality

• Positive attitude and strong understanding of the life science market

Qualifications

​

• BA BSc MSc or PhD in Chemical Science

• Minimum two years sales experience

• Full clean driving licence
