Surgical Sales Executive - Orthopaedic Implants & Power Tools



Location: Munster (Cork, Waterford, Limerick – ideally Cork-based)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive base salary + 50% performance-related bonus and full benefits package

About the Role


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Surgical Sales Executive to join a leading medical technology provider, representing a trusted portfolio of orthopaedic implants and surgical power tools.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing business across the Munster region, supporting hospital partners in both the public and private sectors, and helping to deliver advanced surgical solutions that improve patient outcomes.



Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed territory sales targets and profitability goals.

  • Develop and grow relationships with new and existing customers across hospitals in Munster.

  • Promote a market-leading portfolio of orthopaedic implants and surgical power systems.

  • Provide clinical and technical support for operating theatre and hospital-based capital projects.

  • Deliver engaging product training, demonstrations, and presentations to surgeons and clinical teams.

  • Conduct competitor and market analysis, identifying opportunities for growth.

  • Represent the company professionally at national and international conferences and exhibitions.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product innovations and surgical techniques.

  • Build and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers and clinical opinion leaders.



Candidate Profile

  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in medical device sales, ideally in orthopaedics or capital equipment.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at multiple levels.

  • Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships and deliver high-quality service.

  • Resilient, adaptable, and results-driven with a consultative sales approach.

  • Excellent organisational and planning abilities with a collaborative mindset.

  • Understanding of the Irish healthcare system and hospital procurement processes.

  • Full clean driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland.
