About the Role

Grey Wave Recruitment is seeking a technically minded and commercially driven Technical Sales Specialist for a leading supplier of specialist laboratory and analytical equipment. This is an exciting opportunity to work with innovative technologies supporting research, development and manufacturing environments across Leinster.

As part of the sales team, you will be responsible for identifying laboratories involved in research, development, validation and technology transfer of analytical methods, presenting tailored equipment solutions that enhance accuracy, efficiency and automation. This role suits a professional who combines strong scientific knowledge with commercial acumen and enjoys engaging with customers across diverse technical applications.

Key Responsibilities

​

• Identify and develop relationships with research and manufacturing laboratories to promote specialist analytical and particle characterisation equipment

• Manage a portfolio of products and accounts while actively sourcing new business opportunities

• Execute sales strategies aligned with customer needs, market dynamics and emerging trends

• Collaborate with internal teams and technical experts to deliver customer-focused solutions

• Apply analytical and business skills to assess opportunities, build proposals and close sales

• Coordinate with area representatives to maximise account coverage and support across territories

• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, reporting and customer interactions

• Demonstrate professionalism and a consultative approach with both internal and external stakeholders

• Stay informed on developments in materials science, particle technology and analytical instrumentation

• Participate in technical discussions and represent the company at meetings, training sessions and industry events

Candidate Profile

​

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related discipline

• 1 - 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical or laboratory environments, preferably involving method development, validation or particle characterisation

• Strong technical understanding of particle size and shape analysis, crystallinity and solid-state characterisation techniques

• Self-starter who can work independently and manage priorities effectively

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Analytical thinker with attention to detail and the ability to present complex information clearly

• Flexible to travel nationwide as required

• Recently qualified graduates with strong technical aptitude and ambition will also be considered
